Happy 4th of July,

There is a lot going on here at Dengrove Studios this summer. First off, as you can see this little update is now being called an official newsletter. It occurred to me that I was sending this about once a month, so I thought it only fitting that we make it an official newsletter.

Last month I had two “on the road” shoots while I was in Phoenix on business for my day job. Both turned out to be quite a success as they produced some new images in the Glamour and Boudoir galleries. I also recently had a shoot with my second “alternative model” in Brooklyn, which was a great success. Look for those photos to be posted soon.

Speaking of the website, if you havent taken a look at the site lately now is a great chance. We have completely changed the navigation of the website. You will notice the links have changed on the left side of the page and created several new groups of menus. The new interface makes the website less cluttered in addition to making the site load a lot faster. Check it out at www.dengrovestudios.com

I would also like to announce the addition of several articles and the opening of the Dengrove Studios Blog! The blog has been set up as a place to learn about photography for both beginner and intermediate photographers and enthusiasts and learn about the latest news and information from Dengrove Studios. There is something there for everyone from dear old grandma taking pictures of the kids birthday party, to the aspiring photographer who just bought his new DSLR camera. You can access the blog at www.dengrovestudios.com/blog or by visiting the link on the website. If you missed any of our other newsletters, you will be happy to know, they are all archived right on the blog.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday, and as always comments and feedback are welcome and appreciated, and now you can post them on the blog. If you have need of a photographer or know anyone who does we are always looking for new projects and business.

Sincerely,

Greetings,

June is here and there are lots of exciting things going on at Dengrove Studios

First off, in my update last month I told you about my first upcoming “on the road shoot” while I was in Houston. It was a rousing success as it produced some very beautiful images. I also got very lucky as my original shoot for one model turned into two when she brought her friend along who is also a model.

The second shoot which I hinted to in my last update turned out to be quite amazing. I ended up shooting a model at an abandoned power plant. The location was something to behold, as this place had not been in operation since the 1960s. It was incredible to see the state of decay as nature struggled to reclaim the building and everything in it.

May also saw a shoot of my first “alternative” model which came out quite beautiful. We shot in a lovely forest setting.

Speaking of new photos, the website has recently been updated with lots of new ones. Including some from the Houston shoot, “alternative shoot”, and the abandoned power plant shoot. New photos are posted in the Portrait, Pin Up, Themes, and Boudoir galleries. You can view them at www.dengrovestudios.com. Feel free to take a look, and as always feedback and comments are greatly appreciated.

This month, I have a few shoots I am working on which I am very excited about. After the success of my last “on the road” shoot, I am currently in Phoenix where I will be shooting 2 local models. I also have a shoot at another abandoned location lined up for this month. Also, look for more photos from the May shoots to be posted on the website in the coming weeks as I finish retouching them.

Have a great month of June everybody, and if you know anyone who would like to have a photo session or is in need of a photographer, we are always looking for new business. Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
